Patric Sandri

Freelance illustrator, Patric Sandri, lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. Sandri earned an MA from the Royal College of Art in London. Prior to attending The Royal College of Art, he studied Visual Communications, earning a degree in Illustration from a college in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Sandri’s conceptual illustration, incorporating collage, digital drawing and painting, has appeared in magazines, newspapers, on book covers and posters. His work has been published in Time Magazine,The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Advertising Age, and many other major publications.

Sandri takes pleasure in coming up with an uncommon solution to each assignment. To him, the idea is paramount in illustration. Sandri’s textural effects contrast bold color and shape to communicate sophisticated ideas. His work illustrates contemporary life and provides comment on the political and social climate today.

Splitting his time between illustration and painting, Sandri’s paintings explore the illusion of light, perception and atmospheric affect. His paintings have been exhibited at numerous galleries in Basel, Berlin, Vienna and Madrid.
